New opportunities surround us each and every day. Often, we miss them…scooting by in the blink of an eye, with our doubts and disbeliefs taking precedence. I came across this quote that touched my heart

“The vibration of desire must outweigh the vibration of doubt.”

I have no idea who said that, but it makes things perfectly clear. Our clear focus and desires for our own outcome must outweigh any disbelief that our negativity may drive us to believe. Becoming better versions of ourselves is imperative for us to fulfill our purposes on this earth. With each of us being so incredibly unique – bringing gifts, talents, and skills that no one else in this world possesses, it’s absolutely necessary for us to right our paths, to become the best version of ourselves that we can possibly imagine.

Remind Yourself That You Are Worth It

So, what holds us back?

US.

We are the only ones who can change our inner thoughts about what we can and cannot accomplish. From the simplest activities in our day, to the grand projects to complete that help support our goals and dreams. These negative thoughts are often displayed as habits and awful self-talk that puts us further from accomplishing what we are meant to do.

For us to correct these paths, we have to:

  1. Become Acutely Aware

Before you can change a destructive or unhelpful habit, you must become aware that you’re doing it in the first place. For instance, every morning you look into your mirror after brushing your teeth and getting dressed and you examine and pick apart everything from lumps, bumps, and telling your inner-self that you’re not good enough, your hair isn’t just right, your butt just looks to flat in every pair of pants you own. Your inner-voice picking you apart before your very eyes. This habit becomes part of your daily routine in which you’re never giving yourself words of affirmation or positive feedback.

A few ways you can start to become aware of your thoughts, emotions, and feelings is to sit quietly and let your mind wander. You’ll start to think about certain things and notice your patterns of belief. You can do this in your home or at a yoga studio or simply meditating outside for a couple of minutes.

  1. Cut It Off

Once you have become acutely aware of your habits – the things that aren’t serving you in a positive way – you’ll begin to notice that you’re traveling down that negative path. You’ll notice how many times per day you put yourself down, or others down, and in that instant you just need to cut it off. Cutting those thoughts off right as you begin to think about them shortens their pathway to a full highway of negativity.

As you notice these thoughts coming to the surface, you want to immediately take note, thank God or the Universe for allowing you to take notice, and then update the thought to something more positive or helpful.

  1. Show Gratitude

In the moments throughout your day, take notice to speak words of gratitude and affirmation not just to yourself, but to others. For the waitress who brings you an epic meal and keeps your beverage filled, say thank-you. For the person who bags your groceries, let them know what a great job they’re doing. To your spouse or partner, surprise them with words of gratitude – notice something small they have done even though you expect them to do it every time.

And, don’t forget…

Are you listening?

Don’t forget to show gratitude to yourself. You are your most important supporter. You are your unique self that cannot ever be duplicated in this world. You must show yourself some love, some gratitude, and appreciation for the person you are today, and the person who you’ll be tomorrow.

Much love, friends.

Stay Moisturized,

Alex
